Cappagh Hospital Foundation has been raising funds to support the National Orthopaedic Hospital Cappagh since 1988.
Pain, disability, and deformity are the common indications of orthopaedic conditions and can worsen over time. These symptoms can be physically and mentally draining, impacting every aspect of a person’s daily life. Sadly, many people wait until their condition becomes unbearable before seeking a referral, and national waiting lists are long. As Ireland's largest elective orthopaedic surgical centre, the National Orthopaedic Hospital Cappagh is dedicated to ensuring patients receive timely diagnosis and treatment so they can return to the lives they love. We provide life-changing treatments for conditions affecting the upper and lower limbs and the spine. Our Bone Tumour Centre provides care for patients with bone and soft tissue tumours and serves as a dedicated surgical oncology centre for the National Sarcoma service. In addition to adult services, the hospital provides paediatric orthopaedic services for young patients. It also operates a comprehensive rehabilitation programme for elderly patients recovering from acute medical episodes and offers services in rheumatology, as well as sports and exercise medicine. The Hospital consistently ranks first for overall patient experience* and is listed among Ireland’s Top 150 Best Employers** *HIQA National Inpatient Experience Survey**Sunday Independent.
NOHC 2022-2025 strategy aims to uphold exceptional healthcare standards, while exploring new and innovative ways to enhance patient wellbeing. This work is proudly supported by the Cappagh Hospital Foundation.
